It’s been less than one year since we introduced the Replay ecosystem in beta, and we could not be more excited for what the next year has in store. In 2022, Replay achieved critical roadmap milestones that will help serve as the foundation for the tools and experiences we build in the coming years.
As we continue to build, we’ve revamped our roadmap to highlight our priorities as we outline the future of web3 video. Take a look and what we’ve accomplished, and what’s next.
In 2022, Replay:
- Launched Rewarded.tv and Replay Dashboard — introducing the concept of a gamified, fully decentralized streaming service with RPLAY earning in beta
- Launched our PLAYTATO NFT strategy — activating exclusive perks, multipliers and content across the RPLAY ecosystem.
- Released Multiplier NFTs for our first-ever crowdfunding project — funding the production of a Cyko KO: The Animated Series pilot, starring the reunited Napoleon Dynamite cast
- Introduced Streaming NFTs, delivering an industry-first video experience & unlocking a subscription library, in partnership with FlixFling
- Unveiled strategic partnerships that will help us rapidly expand our user base and content offerings, with leading web3 communities like Unstoppable Domains and tier 1 content partners like Amagi
- Continually expanded our streaming library with free movies and new TV Channels
- Unveiled our first commercial campaign, starring the Couch PLAYTATO!
But there’s still so much more left to do! As we wrap up Q4 2022 and head into the new year, Replay will be:
- Onboarding more new TV Channels from leading content partners, including international content
- Introducing a Santa PLAYTATO, of course!

- Ethereum NFTs support — giving superpowers to other NFT communities for joining & interacting with Replay Protocol & Rewarded TV
- Unstoppable integration — enabling anyone with a valid unstoppable domain for their wallet earns a UD badge
- Updated Picks on Boosted Playlists like FlixFling Picks & Cyko’s Picks!
- More Live Channels, Movies & TV shows through various new content partners on Rewarded TV
In Q2 2023, Replay will introduce:
- Ratings & Reviews — Earn RPLAY for leaving a verified rating of your favorite content
- Leaderboards & Public RPLAY Dashboard
- Replay Discord Bot — Host your own Watch Parties & Live Premiers directly from Discord with community members
- Improved Blockchain Access — Mint ETH & Polygon-compatible Playtato NFTs for completing missions
- Redemption of RPLAY rewards — VIP Membership tiers
- Updated Picks on Boosted Playlists like FlixFling Picks & Cyko’s Picks!
- More Live Channels, Movies & TV shows through various new content partners on Rewarded TV
- Replay Protocol SDK — beta
These are the building blocks of the RPLAY video ecosystem, which will reward content owners and fans for driving quality viewing activity to their favorite content.
RPLAY Listing & Staking is currently TBD. Prior to launching out of beta and listing, RPLAY will focus on full Metachain integration — we are actively collaborating on this with Theta Blockchain team. Please stay tuned!
